Here is the Sri Lanka Team Squad for Asia Cup 2022 UAE. You all know that from 27th August the Asia cup 15th edition is going to start. On the 10th of August 2022, the Sri Lankan Cricket Board selected the players which are going to play in the upcoming Asia Cup 15th edition. Roshan Rana Singh who is the Minister of sports in Sri Lanka gave his approval for the squad. This approval was submitted to the ministry of Sports on 12th August 2022. The Sri Lankan team is going to UAE on 24th August 2022 to participate in the Asia cup. Sri Lanka Team Squad Asia Cup 2022:
Of the named 20 players in the Sri Lankan cricket team, only 11 are going to play all the matches. But if anyone in these 11 becomes injured or if they could not play the game, the other 9 are the top choices. After 12 days of delay, Sri Lanka Cricket Board has finally announced their squad which is going to play the upcoming Asia Cup 15th edition. In this squad, Dishun Shanaka will lead the whole team under his captaincy. If he can’t play any match, then two players can lead the team under their captaincy. These two are Bhanuka Rajapaksha and Dinesh Chandimal.
Fans waited a very long time to know the confirmed squad of the Sri Lankan cricket team. This delay was caused because of Sri Lanka’s political problems. Beffinalizingsing the squad of the Sri Lankan cricket team the SLC sent the squad to the London Sports ministry for approval. But the government was not approving the team. They were saying that the approval of this squad is sent very late. But finally, the wait is over and now the Sri Lankan cricket team squad which is going to play the Asia Cup 15th edition is confirmed.

All the players in the squad are going to put their full efforts to win the trophy for their team. The SLC selected the players in the squad very carefully. This is because they know that if they select any player who is not performing well, their team will be at a great loss. Now SLC confirmed the squad and all these players are very excited to play in the Asia Cup. Every Sri Lankan fan is hoping well for their team and every player is wishing that they could full fill the hopes of their fans.
The captain, wicketkeeper, batsmen, bowlers, and all the players are very great. All the players on the team are very happy for their captain because they know that if they play under the captaincy of Bhanuka Rajapaksha, their team will not be having any losses. Why did SLC take so long to announce the squad of the Sri Lankan team?
The first reason for delaying the squad is that Sri Lanka was the original host of the Asia cup in all the previous seasons. But ACC moved the tournament out to the United Arab Emirates because of the political crisis in Sri Lanka. This is the reason why SLC delayed the squad of the Sri Lankan cricket team.
The main reason is that the Sri Lankan government considered it a national embarrassment because they successfully hosted Australia and Pakistan. But now because of the poor situation of Sri Lanka, the ACC appointed UAE as the host of the Asia Cup 15th edition. That is why the Sri Lankan government was not approving the squad of the Sri Lankan cricket team.
But now the Sri Lankan government has approved their squad and allowed the SLC team to travel to the United Arab Emirates to participate in the upcoming season of the Asia Cup. But in reality, the Sri Lankan government is not happy with SLC.
Smooth Batting and Bowling Line:
All the players are consistent and have been showing their performance in other matches. The squad selected for the Asia Cup 2022 is very talented and aggressive for victory.
