The Pakistan Super League will contain 17 matches that will be played by all teams. The matches are going to take place in Karachi and Lahore stadiums. The final match is going to take place at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. This is an exciting piece of news not just for cricket fans but also for betting fans who want to earn some quick bucks using online betting websites. Cricket punters not only use their cricket knowledge to earn money but to have entertainment as well.

All the 6 Pakistan Super League sides have been finalized in the draft of the player that took place in the High-Performance Center on Sunday in Lahore. On 11th December, the retention list had been announced by the teams where the franchises could retain only 8 players from the teams. The retained players have been divided in – Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond.

Retention by Teams

Other than Quetta Gladiators and Multan Sultans, the four franchises used their full retention quota. The rest of the slots have been filled in the drafts of the players. Notably, every side has been given the order to have at least 16 players in their team towards the end of the draft. Thus, the owners have the onus to make accurate and precise choices.

All franchises have the Right to Match card, which lets them buy back a player. In the meantime, the first pick of the day, in the Platinum group, was Fakhar Zaman, who, on expected lines, was chosen by Lahore Qalandars, his former team.

A team has to choose a minimum of 3 foreign players among the first 9 picks and can get other foreigners from the game’s supplementary round.

Apart from this, sides have a field of a minimum of 3 overseas players and at least 4 in the playing XIs. The 16-man team should have 5 foreign and 11 local players, while the 18-player group can be a combo of either 12 locals and 6 foreigners or 13 locals and 5 foreigners. Moreover, according to the regulations of PSL, an emerging player either has to be Under-23 as of 1st January of the playing season or someone who has played a total of 10 or more games in the PSL over two seasons of the league.

PSL 2022 Prediction

PSL 2022 prediction is much stronger on Islamabad United.  Since it is the only team that has become two-time champions, they have more chances of winning the trophy this year. The squad has won the PSL edition’s first championship title and also became the champion of PSL 2018. If you check out the previous PSL team positions on the points table, Islamabad United can be seen as the stronger team with a large number of tournament wins.

However, every PSL team is strong enough to fight for the PSL championship title. If you check the PSL teams for 2022, you will clearly notice that all teams are very competitive to win the PSL seventh edition tournament. Multan Sultan is one of the teams that is slowly gaining a large fan following.

Star Players of PSL 2022

Days before the league, the six franchises have boosted their teams even further. They have chosen additional players and have submitted partial replacements for any player who is going to be unavailable for the first few matches. The list has been finalized in a replacement and supplementary draft on 9th January. Many local and foreign players have been chosen for the event.

Karachi Kings under Babar Azam had the first supplementary pick. During this time, they added Sahibzada Farhan. They would be happy to get a batter onboard since he bagged the title of PCB Domestic Cricketer of the Year 2021. Mohammad Imran Randhawa has been roped in by Lahore Qalandar after they made a place in the second opening round.

Bottom Line

Many emerging talents are earning their places in different franchises. In the meantime, the 7th edition of the competition is going to begin on 27th January and fans should be ready to witness fierce action over the field.
