Vivo IPL 2021 Postpond By BCCI Due to Covid-19 Cases Increases

Due to high covid-19 cases in India, the Indian Premier League has been postponed. IPL Governing Council and the Board of Control for Cricket in India have finally decided to postpone the IPL 2021. The condition in India worsens as the IPL starts with the huge mount of covid-19 deaths and cases.

IPL 2021 Postponed due to high COVID-19 Cases and Deaths:

The board of cricket in India never compromises on the health and safety of the players involved in the matches. So after seeing the worst situation of covid-19, they decided to postpone it. They suspend it after watching all the aspects of the pandemic. It is now canceled with immediate effect. The IPL 2021 postponed decision is taken keeping the safety and health of the players and all the other participants in regard.

Players Tested COVID-19 Positive:

The players including two members from Chennai Super Kings- a bowling coach and bus cleaner were tested positive for covid-19. Sunrisers Hyderabad’s wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha was also tested positive for coronavirus. One of the spinners of the Kolkata Knight Rider is Varun Chakravarthy and medium-pacer Sandeep Warrier also tested positive which makes the situation more worse.

Safety and Health of the Players:

After considering the whole situation there was no option for BCCI and IPL GC other than to cancel the Indian Premier League 2021 season. It is a good decision on the basis of the safety and health of the people. BCCI is doing all the possible concerns for the foreign players to make them reach safety in their country. The statement said that the BCCI would do everything in its power to arrange for secure and safe passage for all the participants in IPL 2021.

Shifting of IPL to UAE:

Many people are talking about the shifting of IPL to the UAE. So one of the officials says that it is not feasible to shift the IPL to UAE now in the mid of the tournament. All the matches are now canceled due to a surge in COVID-19 cases. Due to a huge mount of COVID-19 deaths in India and the critical situation, there are many chances of change in venue of the T20 World Cup to UAE. It is not finalized yet but seeing the current situation it can happen.
